1. Light weight and high strength

Low density: the density of polypropylene is about 0.91 g/cm³, which is lighter than water (the density of water is 1.0 g/cm³), and is one of the lightest among common fibres. This makes polypropylene FDY products lightweight and suitable for use in sportswear, outdoor equipment, aerospace and other fields.

High strength: the FDY process makes the fibre molecules highly oriented, giving it excellent tensile strength and impact resistance, making it suitable for industrial use (e.g. ropes, geotextiles).

2. Excellent chemical stability

Acid and alkali corrosion resistance: polypropylene has good resistance to acid, alkali and most organic solvents, suitable for chemical protective clothing, industrial filter cloth, sewage treatment materials.

Anti-mould and anti-bacteria: non-absorbent properties inhibit microbial growth, commonly used in medical dressings, sanitary products.

3. Low hygroscopicity and quick-drying property

Almost non-absorbent: the moisture absorption rate is close to 0%, and it dries quickly when it meets water, which is suitable for making waterproof and quick-drying products such as diving suits, swimming costumes, and nappies' surface layers.

Dimensional stability: not easy to deform in wet state, keep the performance stable.

4. Abrasion resistance and durability

Smooth surface and high strength, outstanding abrasion resistance, suitable for frequent friction occasions (such as carpets, bags, industrial fabrics).

5. Cost-effective

Cheap raw materials: polypropylene is less expensive than polyester and nylon, making it suitable for mass production.

Low energy consumption for processing: low melting point (about 160-170℃), low energy consumption for spinning and mature technology.

6. Environmentally friendly and recyclable

Polypropylene can be melted and re-granulated several times, and the waste can be easily recycled, which is in line with the needs of sustainable development.

7. Insulation

Good electrical insulation, can be used in cable wrapping, anti-static work clothes and other scenarios.
