Quality evaluation of DTY
1、 Strength and elongation
For the strength of fibers, higher is not necessarily better. For example, the damage to polyester fabrics is mostly not caused by insufficient fiber strength. For polyester low stretch yarn, a strength of 2.5CN/dtex and a elongation of 12% to 30% can meet the requirements of weaving and wearing. Its toughness: (strength x elongation/2) The higher the strength, the better. Fibers with high toughness not only have good internal quality, but are also wear-resistant and resistant to bending. In actual production, different weaving methods have different requirements for toughness. For example, the weft knitting machine requires a lower strength of DTY than the warp knitting machine, and the extension range of DTY for weft is wider, but the extension of warp cannot be too high. In DTY production, the strength and elongation are generally controlled by adjusting the stretching ratio of the filament. As the stretching ratio increases, the strength of the filament increases and the elongation decreases accordingly. But when the stretching ratio is too high, the strength and elongation of the filament will decrease.
