Polypropylene yarn can be divided into many types, and the common types are polypropylene filament, silk, and ultra-fine denier polypropylene filament. Yarns that are not commonly used in the clothing industry, such as polypropylene air spun yarn, high-strength polypropylene intermingled yarn, and polypropylene hollow yarn, are also part of the polypropylene field. Although their performance is not very extensive, they are also indispensable in daily life.
High strength polypropylene intermingled yarn are not single fibers during the spinning process, but are composite fibers composed of 15-100 ultra-fine fibers. If air is compressed during the spinning process to loosen the filaments and twist them together to form a new type of yarn, we become "intermingled yarn". This type of polypropylene fiber has better strength and does not even require twisting or sizing during the weaving process, so it is also known as "sizing free fiber". The fabric made from this type of intermingled yarn silk has a strong woolly feel, and usually this type of fiber undergoes deformation treatment during the imitation process.
