What should be paid attention to during the spinning process of polypropylene high strength filament?
The melt index of raw materials to a certain extent indicates the molecular weight of the raw materials. Under the same process conditions, the fiber content increases. When the molecular entanglement is high, the strength of the stretched fiber increases with the increase of molecular weight. When the molecular weight is low, the molecular chains are prone to slippage, manifested by a decrease in fiber strength. Several different melt index raw materials were used in the spinning process of polypropylene high strength filament.
During the trial spinning process, it was found that under identical process conditions, the melt index of the raw materials is different, and the strength of the finished silk is different, showing a certain regularity.
Under the same spinning temperature, stretching ratio, and process parameters, the lower the melt index of polypropylene chips, the higher the strength of high-strength polypropylene fibers.
